One of the major challenges facing the oil and gas industry including oil refineries, crude oil terminals, and process and cleaning facilities is the treatment of highly toxic hydrogen sulfide and mercaptan gases generated in various stages of the production and transportation of petroleum hydrocarbons. The products line is synthesized from ingredients which are safe for use in food and food adjutants. Aquatic toxicity is very low; LC-50/96 for juvenile rainbow trout is more than 1,000 ppm at use levels (concentrate levels vary).
Solutions are isotonic balanced with the pH of concrete. They are not corrosive to wastewater piping systems and, due to the H2S removal, the corrosion to the system and infrastructure is abated.
The product line is biodegradable under anaerobic conditions with methane, carbon dioxide, and water. This virtually prevents the formation of solids, salts producing EC (Electrical Conductivity), or nitrates.
