| Struvite, Vivianite, Calcium Carbonate |
The proper control of Struvite, Vivianite and Calcium Carbonate has been a big issue of Wastewater Treatment Plants and Commercial Boiler systems for a long time. A common occurrence in wastewater treatment plants and boiler systems, these minerals can cause hard build-ups which can significantly limit the efficiency of the systems they collect in. When the conditions are right, Struvite can rapidly form crystals that spread throughout transmission piping, valves and joints. Hard mineral build-ups are most commonly a problem in digesters or downstream dewatering facilities and in spots with local turbulence, such as pipe elbows, valves, and pumps. In order to remove these minerals from the fluid or to reduce their concentration, chemical treatments using additives, such as Ferric or Aluminum or Magnesium ions, have been widely utilized. This approach has been to some extent successful, but it is also very likely that excessive usage of these chemicals commonly may accelerate pipe corrosion.
The Z-AMP product offers a break through in the prevention and treatment of Struvite, Vivianite and Calcium Carbonate for Municipal Wastewater Treatment facilities and Commercial Boiler systems. Z-AMP is specifically designed to prevent the bonding of Ammonium, Magnesium, and Phosphate (AMP). No more scaling, no more mineral clogs, and complete removal of existing build-up known as Struvite along with other scaling problems such as Vivianite and Calcium carbonate.
